Purpose and Goals

The Trejo Foster Foundation was established to meet the following goals:

Established to bring to the forefront issues concerning library and information services for people of Hispanic heritage in the United States

Recognizes that long term preservation and concern for Hispanic culture begins with the education of librarians and by the sensitizing of the faculty who teach them

Provides support to finance research as well as seminars, workshops and other activities that will promote and enhance library.education for Hispanics.

Serves as a catalyst for bringing librarians from our hemisphere to analyze, deliberate and plan for the future;

Affiliated with the American Library Association and REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish speaking.
